yellow-headed blackbirds

My friend, Trudy, spotted these birds in her yard, knocked the screen out of her window and took a picture. Way to go, Trudy! These birds do not live here and were just passing through. So glad she looked out the window when she did and caught these pretty visitors.

Mary, these are really great. A beautiful composition for a diptych, and I love the loose, yet accurate rendering.

Oh, this brings back a fun memory. I didn't know you had painted the birds!! Bev clued me in. I love the painting. I hope they come again. It was really fun watching them. They stayed for several days.
